Our buddies from WWOZ FM in New Orleans will have a live stream of great music from the WWOZ/SOCO and Preservation Hall Stages. The Schedule is here.

I am not sure of all of the performers that will be broadcast on the WWW, but a partial list includes Marc Broussard, Hot 8 Brass Band, Toots and the Maytals, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Bonerama and many others.

Go to the WWOZ website and look up toward upper right hand corner and hit the listen online button. It is easy and free, so invite your buddies, family, significant others and anybody else you feel like and kick back with a few cold ones and enjoy some fantastic tunes.

I will be there in person knocking down a few draft beers myself and I will be posting my reviews over the weekend with photos, so check back and take a look at the action.

I know, my life really sucks….NOT !!!!

In order to get away from the rain that has haunted their festival the last few years, the Telluride Jazz Festival will move from the 1st weekend of August to the 1st weekend in June starting in 2008.

This move will combine the Jazz Festival and the Hot Air Balloon Festival on the same weekend so you can get two events for one price. I have never hung out with a lot of "balloon people", but I hear they are a fun crowd. They just tend to arise very early in the morning.

To celebrate the new dates, the Jazz Festival folks are giving ticket discounts for a limited time before they announce the lineup. I would highly recommend the Patron Pass, it is a sweet deal. Here is my review from this year for you to ponder over.
