2008 French Quarter Festival Reviews & Photos - New Orleans

Hopefully the weather is as good for JazzFest starting next week as it was for the French Quarter Festival this past weekend.  Even though New Orleans is my hometown, I did not make the 500 mile trek from DFW to the festivities but a week from tomorrow I am gone for two weeks for music, drink, food and the relaxation I so deserve. 

For those who did make the trip to the "Big Easy" for FQF, here is what I found:

• WCTV - 35 dozen oysters in 8 minutes, with video…WOW!!
• Nola.com - the local newspaper gives you the rundown
• Purrs & Scratches - only one day enjoying, but plenty of photos
• Music On My Mind - interesting take on how the musicians get paid and writeup on Susan Cowsill
• Nik Does Dallas - but I think he would much rather be in New Orleans… Very good & Funny
• Swagland - he is just priming up for the Big Show
• WRNO.com - will keep you busy looking at pics of Friday and Saturday also
• New Orleans Daily Photo - I feel relaxed already
• Life with the Akin Clan - nothing like wishful thinking
• The Heart Mind and Eye - Seafood, music and a guy out on the street…
• Family Style - Damn, now I am hungry
• Tulane MBA - "Big Sam" giving dancing lessons
