2008 JazzFest Daily Schedules Released - New Orleans

Ahhh, the day that us JazzFest veterans look forward to almost as much as the initial lineup announcement and the start of the festivities themselves…. the releasing of the Cubes.

The Cubes…. those pieces of paper with artists, times and stages that you love and hate in the same breath.

You have 5 different Highlighter colors to map out all the possible scenerios.

The clashing of times of those performers you wanted to see so badly, playing on stages on opposite ends of the Fairgrounds.  @&#*$^!!!!!

Yes, the cursing has started… but it will be 10 days in the City of New Orleans for myself and it is all good.

1st Weekend

• Friday, April 25th
• Saturday, April 26th
• Sunday, April 27th

2nd Weekend

• Thursday, May 1st
• Friday, May 2nd
• Saturday, May 3rd
• Sunday, May 4th

The one good thing is that most of the artists usually play in the city at various times and venues, especially the musicians that call New Orleans home.  That is when another set of cubes comes into play.  Yes, more planning involved… quit whining!!

You have to head over to JazzFestGrids.com to have a gander at all the night shows, broken down by date and club.  This is most sweet…. and a convenient Google Map with all the places for the directionally challenged.

Now this means you might put in 14-16 hours a day eating, drinking and listening to music.  Can you handle it????  Yes!!!!
