2008 SXSW Reviews and Photos – Austin, TX

The madness known as South by Southwest has left Austin until next Spring but the web is buzzing about all the new bands and performances by artists that have been around for a while.  Here is some of what I found….

• Statesmen.com – Editorial boasting about Austin’s music scene… braggers….
• Austin360.com – tons of content to read in your own "Cubicle from Hell"
• Dallas Morning News – Videos of wrapup and people on the street
• Jambase – keeps you busy for a while
• The Age – even blokes from "Down Under" were represented
• Large Hearted Boy – crazy amount of downloads.. when did this guy sleep??
• Los Angeles Times – you knew people from the Entertainment Capital had to show up
• Country Music Blog – Ok, it’s Texas and I had to give the country folks some props… Ok, I am done….
• Hutchhead.com - montage of photos
• Salad Days Music – hey, I just like the name..and the pics are pretty good also
• Winnipeg Sun – Our neighbors to the North escaped the harsh winter for a few days
• New York Times – They actually took time away from reporting about Spitzer and his "friend"
• Extended Play – more fun and games from the LA Times
• Millionth Monkey – spotlight on Montreal bands with mp3’s… Sweet….
• Both Sides of the Mouth -  hometown Austin perspective
• Banky for President – only in an election year
• Consequences of Sound – videos for days….
• Dead Indie Elephants – Yiyo from Caracas with downloads of My Morning Jacket, REM and many more…
• KCRW – videos, audio, pics, blog posts… something to appeal to most of the senses..
• A Blank Page – one disgruntled Austinite
• Blender – hot girls on 6th Street… No Way…
• Cupcake Report – another unhappy camper
• Riverfronttimes - more posts than you can shake a stick at
• Chicago Tribune – Windy City folks were quite busy
• LiveDaily - where you get the full story
• MTV - of course, I could leave them out
