Voodoo Music Festival After Hours Jams - New Orleans
I was looking over the late night schedule to map out my plan for next week. In case you don’t have enough music in the day, you can head to one of several venues after the sun goes down.
But hanging out in the French Quarter during Halloween is quite the experience also……
First on the hit parade is the House of Blues on Decatur St. in the French Quarter

The World Famous Tipitina’s Uptown always packs in the talent

- Saturday - Galactic with Chali 2na and Boots Riley
- Sunday - Karl Denson Trio
Howlin’ Wolf down on South Peters St.
- Thursday - Rebirth Brass Band
- Friday - Anne Rice Halloween Ball with Analog Missionary, Anders Magna and Paul Mercer
- Saturday - Mom’s Halloween Ball with Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes and Toubab Krewe
The small but funky Maple Leaf Bar at 8316 Oak St.
- Friday - Toubab Krewe
- Saturday - Papa Grows Funk
- Sunday - Jamie McLean
The Rock n’ Bowl at 4133 South Carrollton Ave.
- Friday - Snooks Eaglin ( a New Orleans institution)
