Riding back to Telluride for the Blues and Brew Festival

Yesterday was a travel day after flying into Albuquerque and taking a leisurely 6 hour drive up to Telluride.  Why drive???? Take a look at the pics below and you will see why. Beats the "Cubicle from Hell" by a long shot…..

So after arriving I set up the tent and headed into town for a few beers. Hey, putting up a tent is hard work, I think I might even had a bit of a sweat going on. After a couple of Stella’s at The Last Dollar Saloon, I learned from Cheryl ( a local of 30 years) that Tishamingo had a free concert in Mountain Village. Sweet!!!!

To get to Mountain Village, you either have to drive (not advisable after a few beers) or take the gondola ride and let it do the driving. As you can see from the pics below, it was worth it just for the view. As luck would have it, the La Piazza restaurant was located in front of the stage. Great Italian food and wine mixed in with a bit of southern rock and blues music. Nice way to end the day…..
