Black Crowes headlining Telluride Blues Festival - Sept 16th

Ever since the Telluride Blues and Brew Festival announced their original lineup a few weeks ago minus the Sunday headliner, I have been pondering on who would close out the festival in great fashion. I though maybe Robert Cray, since he is doing a tour with Keb’ Mo’ and who is finishing Saturday night at the festival. Since they said it would not be announced until June 25th, I was hoping for some leak by now.

So today, I went out and did a Google search and there pops out an article from the local Telluride paper announcing the Black Crowes are the last band on stage Sunday, but no one from the festival was confirming it. Sure enough, you go to the Black Crowes website and there sits a date for Telluride on the 16th.

Not a bad choice. I saw them last year at the Langerado Festival in Sunrise, FL and I thought they did a great job but I was hoping for someone with more of a blues background. But by the time Sunday comes along and after a weekend of enjoying the fantastic landscape in Telluride and downing quite a few microbrews, I wouldn’t care if Carrot Top was on stage. Ok…..that might be a stretch.
