10KLF Artist I have not seen before - Part 2

Tragically Hip from north of the border in Ontario hits the Field Stage on Friday, July 20th. Since I have never heard much of these guys before, I had to head out to the wide world of Google to find some information.

After learning they have been together since the mid 80’s and inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2005, I am a bit embarrassed now of my lack of knowledge. Going over their upcoming schedule it looks like they spend most of their time in Canada and overseas, so my embarrassment subsides.

Supposedly Canada’s greatest rock band, they have a huge fan base and put on energetic live shows. Like most bands these days, they are social activists whose music takes exception with the war in Iraq and the tragedy in New Orleans. Looks like a must see…..
