House of Blues - Dallas Overview
I was estatic when I first heard that the House of Blues was coming close to my fair city of Fort Worth as I do miss the feel of the one in New Orleans. After seeing the subdudes in the Cambridge Room last Sunday, last night’s show in the Main Hall sitting in the balcony was almost like being in the front row. The balcony almost covers the main floor and it is steep enough that the sight lines are great no matter where you sit. The chairs are comfy, especially for a 6 foot, 200 lb. person like myself and my knees are about even with the top of the head of the person in front of me. That almost allows not having to move my head any during the show until Buddy brought his show upstairs. My only gripe was I was seated on the far left side and the speakers cut off the keyboard player, but I can fix that by finding seats closer to the center next time. I see lots of great music in my future.
